  • Aldus Manutius and his Thesaurus Cornucopiae of 1496. Translated by Antje Lemke. Syracuse: Syracuse University Press, 1958. Manutius has been called the father of book production. In this essay Manutius announced plans to publish the complete works of Aristotle. Donated by Edgar Krentz.
  • Anti-Goeze. By Gotthold Ephraim Lessing. Braunschweig, 1778. A series of tracts addressed to Pastor J. M. Goeze of Hamburg. Goeze had made bitter attacks on Lessing because of his comments on the New Testament under the name of H. S. Reimarus. This volume contains the first five tracts. Donated by Edgar Krentz.

  •  Sancti Epiphanii Opera Graec. Lat. 2 volumes. Coloniae: Schrey & Meieri, 1682. Epiphanius (315-403) was esteemed for monastic asceticism, learning, piety, self-denying are for the poor, and zeal for orthodoxy. These books were donated by Alice and Jay Mulberry of Hyde Park.
